    Hello Mike,

This is my conclusión about the video "If I were a Boy" from Beyonce:

Definetly this song, and this video is out of date for me. Is a male chauvinist song, because puts women in a past role, when women only cooked, cleaned and raised children. And when men went out to work and drink beer. A normal person of this days must understand that this isn't so these days. This only happens in old people pairs or in uneducated pairs of men and women.

Perhaps this is the reason. Because the music of Beyoncé is directed for a uneducated public, girls and boys with little academic training or simply people with little culture. Youngs "Cristianos Ronaldos" or "Paris Hilton" that are usually to see in parks, pubs or out off the School. This kind of person, perhaps, have in her head this way of life, I don't know.

Is only a theory, i like some songs and videos of Beyoncé

This is a good example: http://vimeo.com/7481002

    I hope you enjoy it,

    Regards,

  2. I agree with most things that Cesar has said. I think that a lot of people generalize about this topic. Obviously there are men who behave that way, as in the song, but all the people are diferent and not everyone do this things.

Even, I have seen some women using this stereotype of men to criticize them, without having done anything, and it is vere unfair.

Men probably have several things wrong, but women also have them and we do not say anything in a song, because we are human and we understand that nobody is perfect

I like beyonce too and a lot of her songs, for example: "Crazy in love" with Jay Z, but I think that in the song "If I were a boy" she is very populist with women

This is my opinion about this topic! Regards! :)

  3. Hi Pal,

I think that it's only one song, anymore. A relationship is based on respect and as they say "You live and let live". I think it's the problem that people don't let live.
On the other hand, as rightly Cesar said, this song is out of date, because nowadays women work same that men.
But to add fuel to the fire, I think that "If I were a girl, I wouldn't be always thinking about the house", "If I were a girl, I wouldn't call my partner when he goes out with his friends".
I'm going to the bed, my wife is calling to me.
    Good nights. See you tomorrow.

  4. Thinking about the topic of Beyonce´s song,"If I were a boy", and bearing in mind that today is The International Women´s Day,originally called International Working Women´s Day,I found five days ago, walking along the streets of Old Madrid,a saying in a magnetic plate that we sometimes take from recollection to home.It says that way:
"IT IS HARD TO BE A WOMAN,
YOU MUST THINK LIKE A MAN,
    ACT LIKE A LADY,
    LOOK LIKE A YOUNG GIRL
    AND WORK LIKE A HORSE"
    SEE YOU IN AN HOUR.

  5. I find that male chauvinism can be a hot topic. Everybody knows the breakthrough in women’s role. However, women still have to keep to fighting to have the same opportunities than men in some respects. I don’t understand why men can charge more money than women when both develop the same job. That’s one of the major differences still exist between men and women. It’s a sad reality.
Luckly, these differences are gradually becoming smaller thanks to the struggle of many men and women.
About the song, I want to say that this isn’t so usual that happens. I think that any women should allow that nobody treats in bad way. The most important thing is that women act and know that everybody is equal.

      My conclusions:
The liric is about a woman who feels desapointment with her relationship of partner. In the song she writes what would she do if she were a boy, just the opposite what her boyfriend was doing to her. At the end she decided to give him up.
What she writes may have happened at any time and any person, whether men and women.

  6. In my opinion, this song shows the differents points of view between men and women about the relation each other. This man is a " macho man" who plays a paper like a spoilt child, whitout sensitive and more interested in his friends or his job, whitout time to spend in his girlfriend, and blind for to see what is happens.
when he turn off his mobile, it only shows that this man is stupid.
Guys, when a women is in love, only needs a little attention. One girl need that you speak with her, one girl need to know , you love her. You must talk to her.
